Eligibility and Appointment
- Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment
- Age Limit: 20-36 years (Candidates born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2003 are eligible, with age relaxation for SC, ST, and OBC)

Educational Qualifications
- Essential: Postgraduate Degree in Physics with at least 50% marks
- Preferential: M.Phil in Physics, and two years of research/analytical experience
Other Requirements
- Visual Standards: Must meet specific standards; a medical certificate may be needed
- Probation: Two years
- Training: Six months training in all branches of Forensic Science, with additional discipline-specific training
